SPECIAL CARIFORUM MEETING IN GRENADA

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, Friday, June 20, 2014: Grenada will be the host of a Special Meeting of the Council of Ministers of CARIFORUM on Wednesday June 25^th, 2014, at the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort, St. George’s, Grenada.

Grenada is current the Chair of CARIFORUM, with Hon. Oliver Joseph as the Chairman.

The Meeting will focus on programming of the 11^th European Development Fund (EDF) Regional Indicative Programme (RIP), in order to examine the current status of programming, review CARIFORUM priorities and approaches, address proposals raised by the EU and determine CARIFORUM positions taking the programming process to finalisation.

The Special Meeting of the Council of Ministers will be preceded by preparatory meetings of the Planning Committee on June 23^rd, and a Meeting of Senior Officials on June 24^th.

Arrangements are being made for High Level Representatives of the European Union to meet with the Council of Ministers of CARIFORUM immediately following the Special Meeting of the Council of Ministers.

An opening ceremony for Special Meeting of the Council of Ministers the will be held on Wednesday, June 25th, 2014beginning at9:00 am. All members of the media are invited to provide coverage for the opening ceremony.
